Paper Entertainment signs up first hire

Paper Entertainment, the company newly founded by Cineflix alumnus Julien Leroux to develop, finance and produce content, has announced its first appointment.

Caroline Amer is joining as development executive and will work with Leroux to develop new dramas to sit alongside other projects including season two of global hit AppleTV+ series Tehran, which is going into production this summer.

Amer is an experienced independent producer and co-founder of one of the UK’s first female-led production companies, Double Yay.

Starting out as an actor and burlesque performer before she began producing, Amer has developed drama and comedy projects including short film She and digital series Nutritiously Nicola!

Leroux, who founded Paper Entertainment in January and is its CEO, said: “I’m thrilled Caroline is joining Paper Entertainment. Her experience and creative force will help drive our growing slate as we build on the success of Tehran and other projects in the pipeline.”

Amer said: “I could not be more excited to join Paper Entertainment and work together with Julien to develop thriving partnerships with top creative talent from around the world.”
