Pantheon Media forges strategic partnership with social strategy outfit TH Studios

Endeavor-backed Pantheon Media Group has struck a strategic partnership with digital production and social strategy company TH Studios.

Simon Thomas

Under the deal, the companies will partner to create content with “compelling narrative and fan engagement” at its core, as well as devising integrated marketing and launch strategies at the earliest phases of development.

US-based Pantheon said the deal accelerates its “mission to build modern franchises that don’t just live on television,” and comes after it hired Love Island USA exec producer Simon Thomas as its head of creative earlier this year.

TH Studios oversaw the social media strategy for reality series including Love Island USA and Dancing with the Stars. Pantheon, led by chairman Steve Michaels and CEO Jennifer O’Connell, is a production group whose companies include Done+Dusted, Film 45, Breaklight Pictures and Texas Crew Productions.

“Off-platform is equally as vital as what you watch on screen,” said Thomas.

Jill Johnson

“I’ve been lucky enough to see what TH Studios can do up close with Love Island USA and other hit shows, through social and app play-along and bespoke content creation for talent and special guests. Partnering with TH Studios allows us to reach out and build fandoms from day one – building show universes that live in the zeitgeist that fans want to be in.”

TH Studios’ chief creative officer Jill Johnson added: “We’re excited to join them early, architecting the fan journey, the platform-first narrative and the engagement infrastructure that turns viewers into a community.”
