NEWS BRIEF: Hemisphere Media Group-owned free TV channel WAPA TV in Puerto Rico has acquired Pantanal, the Brazilian telenovela produced by TV Globo based on the 1990 series of the same name.

The deal comes after broadcasters in Chile (Chilevisión), Argentina (Telefe), Paraguay (Telefuturo), Portugal (SIC), Croatia (HRT) and Poland (Novelas+) have also acquired the series, which is available on Paramount+ in Lat Am outside of Brazil.
