OUTtv grows reach with VoD platforms

Canada-based LGBTQ+ network OUTtv has partnered with numerous VoD platforms to expand the reach of its programming internationally.

South African subscription VoD service Showmax, ad-supported VoD platform Tubi and multi-platform firm Fuse Media will all now carry the network’s content.

Showmax has acquired a catalogue of content including Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, Trixie Mattel: Skinny Legend and Drag SOS, with plans to add new content monthly.

Tubi and Fuse Media, meanwhile, have acquired OUTtv’s documentary strand OUTspoken and a number of lifestyle series.

“This year our efforts are concentrated on growing the accessibility of OUTtv’s expansive catalogue of LGBTQ+ content to global audiences,” said Brad Danks, CEO of OUTtv.

“We’re seeing an increasing demand for LGBTQ+ programming and, by partnering with premium entertainment platforms such as Showmax, Tubi and Fuse Media, we are able to make our content more accessible to international audiences.”

Marc Leonard, senior VP of content strategy at Fuse Media, added: “OUTtv’s programming fits nicely within our mission of serving a young, multicultural and inclusive audience with content from a diverse array of voices and points of view, and we are excited to share these stories.”
