Olly the Little White Van

Olly the Little White Van is set to have its own YouTube channel

The UK-based children’s outfit behind Olly the Little White Van has linked up with Little Dot Studios to develop the brand for YouTube and has also agreed a sale in the US.

The show has already received almost 100 million views worldwide and the agreement will see Olly Ltd and Little Dot develop a dedicated YouTube channel for the show’s characters.

Andy Taylor, Little Dot Studios’ co-founder and chief executive, said: “Olly has already proven himself to be a hit on YouTube and we’re looking forward to helping him connect with even more children around the world.”

In related news, the show’s first two seasons will also become available on Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s online e-learning service Curious World after securing a deal via AWOL Animation in Paris.

Henry Becket, Olly Ltd’s CEO, said it was “very exciting for Olly to be starting to make his mark in the States, especially in a medium that recognises the brand’s educational as well as entertainment potential.”

Olly Ltd, which launched a joint venture in India last year, has also forged a partnership with European Television Services in Milan to develop the brand in key EMEA markets, focusing initially on Italy.
