Live-action show Odd Squad (40×22′) is aimed at 5-8s and focuses on two young agents whose mission is to save the day whenever something unusual happens in their town.

Kika in Germany and Discovery Kids Latin America have joined other international networks in picking up the series from Sinking Ship Entertainment (SSE), which produces the show alongside The Fred Rogers Company.

It began airing on TVO in Canada and PBS Kids in the US last year and comes from Tim McKeon (Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends) and Adam Peltzman (The Electric Company).

Elsewhere, Sony Pictures Television-owned Tiny Pop in the UK has acquired the 2D animated series Chirp (52×11′) from SSE. The show will also air on Jim Jam Television across Europe, the Middle East, Russia and Africa.

Meanwhile, Playdate (52×5′), which premieres this weekend on Family Jr in Canada, has been acquired by Discovery Kids Latin America, Tiny Pop and ABC Kids in Australia from SSE.

The live-action puppet series follows the adventures of four stuffed animals who come to life and have adventures when their owners leave the room.
