O4 Media secures MBC Korea deal to represent scripted drama series in ANZ

Hong Kong-based distributor O4 Media has agreed a partnership with South Korean broadcasting network MBC, securing exclusive rights to represent multiple of the latter’s scripted dramas in Australia and New Zealand.

This agreement “underscores O4 Media’s dedication to delivering high-quality Asian content to audiences in the Australasia region,” the HK firm said, while also broadening the global reach of MBC’s productions.

The dramas covered in the agreement include Kairos, Children of Nobody and Numbers. Kairos, about a father dealing with his missing daughter, aired on MBC in 2020; Children of Nobody, about a child counsellor who partners with a detective, aired on MBC in 2019; while Numbers is a more recent drama about life in an accounting firm and aired last year.
