NT1 doubles up on Musketeers

French broadcaster NT1 has picked up the first two seasons of BBC drama The Musketeers.

The show, which is shopped globally by the UK pubcaster’s commercial arm BBC Worldwide (BBCWW), is set in 17th century Paris and is based on the characters from Alexandre Dumas’ novels.

It is made by BBC Drama Productions and coproduced by BBCWW and BBC America, with NT1 acquiring both the first 10×60’ season and the upcoming second run.

The show has been sold to broadcasters including Sky (New Zealand), TVE (Spain), RTP (Portugal), HRT (Croatia), Ren TV (Russia), ETV (Estonia), LTV (Latvia), SPI (Central and Eastern Europe), MTVA (Hungary), Prime Media (Kazakhstan), KBS (South Korea) and the BBC (Latin America), as well as Netflix.
