Norway declares cake war

A Norwegian broadcaster has greenlit a series in which amateur baking enthusiasts compete against each other, to be produced by Eyeworks Dinamo.

TV Norge has commissioned Cake War (20×30′), which will air on its female-skewing Fem channel from Monday to Thursday for five weeks this autumn.

The series will see five amateur bakers square off in the kitchen each week, with each winner going on to compete against each other in the finale.

Cake War will rival TV3’s series The Norwegian Baker, which is a local version of Love Productions’ UK format The Great British Bake Off, distributed by BBC Worldwide.
