Nordisk Film Production social work drama Take Care in the can for TV2 Denmark

Social worker drama series Take Care
Nordisk Film Productions has completed filming social worker drama Take Care this week and is also finishing postproduction on the second season of medical drama The Shift, both for Denmark’s TV2.
Six-episode series Take Care is expected to premiere on TV2 and TV2 Play in 2026.
“Editing has just begun and I am especially looking forward to this one because the story takes place in the social worker environment, a setting that we rarely see in fiction,” Katrine Vogelsang, CEO of Nordisk Film Productions, told C21.
The series is produced by Trin Hjortkjær Thomsen and Camilla Hammerich, and Lea Lobger and Marlene Billie Andreasen is TV2’s executive producer.
The story revolves around a team of social and health assistants and helpers who provide care for older citizens but are under constant pressure from tight schedules and internal turmoil.
The young and maladjusted Sille (Tessa), comes under pressure when she takes an in-home care job and is trained by experienced assistant Rie (Iben Hjejle). The show marks the screen debut of high-profile rapper Tessa.

S2 of The Shift moves to a hospital paediatric department
Nordisk Film Production is also about to finish work on the second season of hospital drama The Shift (8×40’) for TV2, created by film director Lone Scherfig (An Education, Their Finest).
In the second season, the scene moves from the maternity ward of a hospital to the paediatric department. The eight episodes are expected to premiere on TV2 Play and TV2 in 2025.
Season two introduces two new characters, chief physician Linda and psychologist Lasse, played by Ann Eleonora Jørgensen and Anders W Berthelsen.
The Shift S2 is produced by Nordisk Film Production and Creative Alliance. The main writers are Lone Scherfig and Nikolaj Scherfig, conceptual director is Lone Scherfig supported by Henrik Ruben Genz and Ole Christian Madsen.
