Nordisk Film hires new head of acquisitions to enhance its distribution business

Nordisk Film Distribution has appointed Silje Nikoline Glimsdal as head of Nordic acquisitions, effective from August 1.

Glimsdal joins Nordisk Film from a position as senior acquisition manager at SF Studios, having previously served as a sales and project manager at TrustNordisk.

Nordisk Film Distribution is a leading force in Nordic films in the region, with ambitions to strengthen this business area.

“Nordic films are the core of Nordisk Film Distribution’s business, and Silje’s strong skills and extensive network will be crucial in helping us to achieve our goals,” VP of sales and acquisitions Rasmus Krogh, Nordisk Film Distribution, said in a statement.

Based in Copenhagen, Glimsdal will primarily handle film acquisition in Norway.

Nordisk Film Distribution acquires, distributes, and markets films and TV series in the Nordic region, including titles produced by Nordisk Film itself and those created by external partners and production companies.

Nordisk Film Distribution is a division of Nordisk Film, one of the oldest film studios in the world, owned by the Egmont Media Group.
