Sky’s big-budget drama Fortitude

Nordic broadcasters including Denmark’s DR and Sweden’s SVT have picked up drama and factual shows from Sky Vision, the international distribution and production arm of Sky.

Arctic thriller Fortitude has been sold to SVT, TV2 in Denmark, YLE in Finland, NRK in Norway and RUV in Iceland.

Its second season is due to air on Sky Atlantic in January, with UK scripted prodco Fifty Fathoms close to finding a replacement coproduction partner following the closure of US cablenet Pivot.

Meanwhile, jewel-thief drama The Last Panthers has been acquired by HBO Nordics, which has also added Doll and Em, and quirky crime drama Agatha Raisin has been acquired by TV4’s VoD platform in Sweden, as well as DR in Denmark.

DR has also acquired more than 50 hours of factual shows including wildlife titles Gangland Killers, Big Cats: My Amazing Animal Family and Richard E Grant’s Seven Deadly Sins of the Animal Kingdom.

SVT has taken more than 20 hours, including A Kylie Christmas and Michael McIntyre’s Very Christmassy Show, while SBS Group, TV2 Denmark, TV2 Norway and Modern Times Group have picked up fact ent clip shows including Bellum Entertainment’s Crazy Wheels.

Finally, TV2 Denmark and TV2 Norway have added Love Productions’ competitive entertainment show The Great Pottery Throwdown.
