Noah Media preps ITV football doc

UK commercial broadcaster ITV has ordered a documentary series about race in football from UK indie Noah Media Group.

Presented by former Arsenal striker and now broadcaster Ian Wright, Out of Their Skin (2×60’) charts the rise of black footballers in Britain through archive footage, original interviews and a compilation of individual stories from the past and present.

The series will air on ITV4 in November, 40 years after Viv Anderson became the first black footballer to win a full cap for the England national team.

It will be directed by Noah Media Group’s chief creative officer Gabriel Clarke (Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans) and Jay Gill (Euro 96: The Summer Football Came Home).
