Nine new series from Style

Lionsgate, Cineflix, 51 Minds and Bunim-Murray Productions all have series in the pipeline at US cable network Style Media, which has unveiled its development slate for next season.

Shows include The Fabulist from Lionsgate Entertainment and exec producer Eli Frankel. The half-hour series “features tastemakers and pop culture junkies who weigh in on what is hot in the world of vacation destinations, luxury homes and fabulous lifestyles,” the NBCUniversal-owned cablecaster said.

Cineflix, meanwhile, is behind Keep the Party Moving (working title), with Lisa Levenson and Simon Lloyd as executive producers. The show taps into the trend for ‘progressive dinners.’

From Endemol-backed 51 Minds comes Selita (wt), with Chris Abrego, Ben Samek and Rabih Gholam as executive producers. The show follows fashion model Selita Ebanks as she tries to launch a clothing line.

More reality comes in the shape of Reconstructing Beverly Hills, from Banijay-owned Bunim-Murray Productions. Jonathan Murray, Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins and Rachel Speiser Schwartz are exec producing a show about plastic surgery gone wrong.

Bray Entertainment is working on Fashion Phenoms, in which design prodigies go head-to-head; 20 West Productions is developing Crazy Beautiful (wt), about bizarre beauty regimens and procedures; and home makeover series Matched by Design is from PB&J Television.

Style Junkies (wt), about fashion-obsessed Americans, is from Schweet Entertainment and exec producer Jack Osbourne, while Magilla Entertainment is developing Power House, about a luxury real estate agency in New York.

These shows in development add to Style’s previously announced competition series Glam Squad (wt) from executive producer and Oscar winner Charlize Theron.

Sarah Weidman, senior VP of original programming and development at Style, described her latest round of projects as “edgy, fun, informative series that are accessible and aspirational.” She added: “Style provides a unique, optimistic environment for our viewers who have an insatiable appetite for looking good and living stylishly.”
