Nine, Netflix to watch Alien TV again

Alien TV comes from eOne and Pop Family Entertainment

Nine Network in Australia and global streamer Netflix are preparing a second season of hybrid animated children’s series Alien TV.

Coproduced by Canada-based Entertainment One (eOne) and Australia’s Pop Family Entertainment, Alien TV combines real-world imagery and CGI animation to follow the slapstick adventures of an extraterrestrial TV news crew as they try to cover life on Earth. The second season will launch on Netflix globally on March 19.

Targeted at kids aged 6-11 and their families, the show was originally commissioned by Australia’s Nine Network before being picked up by Netflix.

The project was produced with the financial assistance of Create NSW, the Canadian Film/Video Production Tax Credit and the Ontario Production Service Tax Credit.
