Nine Network’s Dangerous Lies: Unmasking Belle Gibson

LONDON TV SCREENINGS: UK independent production finance broker and distributor Silverlining Rights has acquired global sales rights to documentary Dangerous Lies: Unmasking Belle Gibson, which tells the real story behind Netflix drama Apple Cider Vinegar.

The 1×60’ doc, from Australia’s Nine Network, follows a 26-year-old Australian who became a worldwide sensation after she claimed to have been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and cured herself with a healthy-eating plan. She developed the world’s first wellness app, had a Penguin book deal, was backed by Apple and earned millions via  social media, but it was all a lie.
