Nickelodeon UK dives into Canadian toon Big Blue

Guru Studio produced Big Blue for CBC Kids and Radio-Canada

NEWS BRIEF: ViacomCBS-owned kids’ network Nickelodeon in the UK has acquired Canadian adventure-comedy series Big Blue for its channel Nicktoons.

Big Blue (52×11’) is produced by Toronto-based Guru Studio (Paw Patrol) for CBC Kids and Radio-Canada, where it will premiere later this year. Created by Ghanaian-Canadian Gyimah Gariba, the series follows two sibling underwater adventurers who lead a quirky submarine crew with a magical ocean fairy stowaway. It will debut on Nicktoons in the UK in January 2022.
