Nick signs up YouTube star

US children’s network Nickelodeon has inked an exclusive content deal with YouTube personality CKN Toys.

Calvin, aka CKN Toys, and 3 year-old brother Kaison

The multi-territory agreement will see the YouTube sensation create original content for Nickelodeon-branded linear and digital platforms.

CKN Toys is a seven year-old named Calvin who road tests and unboxes children’s toys from around the world.

His channel has become one of the biggest YouTube channels in Australia and boasts 13 million subscribers. CKN Toys boasts loyal audiences across the world especially in, the US, the UK, the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Brazil and Australia.

The agreement was created and brokered by Haven Global, CKN’s worldwide licensing agent, which will partner with Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products across multiple territories.

The new series is yet to be named but Nickelodeon will develop and produce the original shortform preschooler for Nickelodeon and Nick Jr platforms.

Nickelodeon Australia will produce the series, which will also feature Calvin’s three-year-old brother Kaison.
