Nick gets lucky with toon

Viacom’s Nickelodeon has added kids animation Lucky Fred to more of its channel feeds worldwide, while broadcasters in Mexico and South Korea follow suit.

Lucky Fred

Lucky Fred (52×12′) has been picked up for free-TV by Nickelodeon in Germany and Poland, as well as ORF in Austria and Televisa Mexico.

Meanwhile, Nickelodeon in Ukraine and the Baltic states, Canal Panda in Portugal and Tooniverse in South Korea have picked up pay-TV rights to the toon, which is coproduced by Imira Entertainment, fellow Spanish firm Televisió de Catalunya and Rai Fiction in Italy.

Lucky Fred has now been sold to networks in more than 160 territories, including France’s TF1 and Disney channels across the world.

The toon follows the comic adventures of an ordinary 13-year-old boy who accidentally becomes the owner of a shape-shifting robot.
