Australian comedy-drama The Inbestigators

Japanese public broadcaster NHK has acquired Australian kids’ show The Inbestigators, made for ABC and Netflix.

NHK picked up the 10×24′ first season from the Australian Children’s Television Foundation, which distributes the show, made by Gristmill and commissioned by ABC and Netflix.

Netflix holds worldwide SVoD rights to The Inbestigators, but linear rights became available outside Australia last year.

RTVE/Clan TV in Spain, Wildbrain TV in Canada, KAN Israel, SABC in South Africa, TVB in Hong Kong are among others to have licensed the show, which tells the story of four primary school children who form their own detective agency. NHK has also secured catch-up rights.
