Nexus picks Locksmith alum Lord

London-, LA- and Sydney-based Nexus Studios has grown its original content team with the appointment of former Locksmith Animation exec Anna Lord.

Anna Lord

Lord joins Nexus Studios full-time in London as senior development producer having recently worked with the company on its dark comedy animated series The House, in partnership with Netflix.

Prior to working with Nexus Studios, Lord held senior production roles at Passion Pictures, worked on feature films for Warner Bros and DreamWorks and, more recently, helped establish Locksmith Animation’s talent relationships across the feature animation world.

Lord will seek out new content opportunities as well as writing and directorial talent to support a number of adult and family projects currently in development at the studio.

Lord joins a team headed by Charlotte Bavasso, co-founder, CEO and executive producer, and Christopher O’Reilly, co-founder and executive creative director.

Other members of the team include executive producer Diego Rosner, senior development producer Shona Collins, development coordinator and executive assistant Steph Wheeler and executive assistant Jey McKinley.

Last year Netflix hired Nexus’s head of development, Julio Bonet, as manager of original series in London, as revealed by C21.
