Netflix’s David Kosse departs post as VP of international film in regional restructure

London-based David Kosse is exiting his post as Netflix’s VP of international film.

His departure comes amid a broader reorganisation of the streamer’s European film business, with Netflix shifting to a regional structure in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a set-up that has already been implemented in Asia and Latin America.

The international film team will now be led by Teresa Moneo, who will report to Netflix’s head of global film Scott Stuber.

Kosse, who joined the company in March of 2019, oversaw the streamer’s film production and acquisitions with a particular focus on local-language films that would resonate globally.

Before joining Netflix, he was head of Film4 in the UK and prior to that he spent more than a decade at Universal Pictures International. He also ran UK-based independent distributor Momentum Pictures before joining Universal Pictures International.
