Netflix’s Breslow joins Legendary

US prodco Legendary has hired Netflix executive Jennifer Breslow as exec VP of television and digital media.

Jennifer Breslow

Breslow joined Netflix in 2016 as director of content for international original series, working on programmes across the globe including Lupin in France, Baby in Italy, Love Alarm in Korea and Casa de Las Flores in Mexico.

She spent most of 2018 living in Amsterdam to help build Netflix’s team and content hub in Europe, while overseeing the slates for France and Italy. In 2019, she transitioned from foreign-language series back to the US, working on series such as Firefly Lane and Fate: The Winx Saga.

Prior to Netflix, Breslow was senior VP and VP of scripted series at A+E/Lifetime Networks, before which she was VP of drama development and current programming at ABC, where she worked on shows including Grey’s Anatomy. She was also previously VP of drama development at The CW, working on series like The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl.

In her new role at Legendary, Breslow will report to Chris Albrecht, head of Legendary Television. Her appointment comes two months after the company announced it was combining its domestic and international arms under the management of Albrecht, the former CEO of cablenet Starz.

“Jennifer’s proven track record of identifying, developing and creating world-class storytelling for global audiences makes her the ideal candidate to join Legendary as we continue to scale our television and digital media footprint,” said Albrecht.
