Netflix takes CBC/HBO Max’s Sort Of for Asia

NEWS BRIEF: US streamer Netflix has picked up the first 8×30’ season of CBC/HBO Max original comedy series Sort Of for its feeds in Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.

The deal was done with London-based distributor Abacus Media Rights at this week’s Asia TV Forum & Market in Singapore. Abacus has also announced sales of Deadline; Pulse; HM The Queen: A Remarkable Life; Philip: Prince, Husband, Father; Queen Elizabeth: A Lifetime of Service; The Masked Dancer season two; and Titans of Tech to Singapore-based Rock Entertainment. In addition, Pumpkin Film in China has taken Line of Duty S1-5.
