Netflix returns to Hit + Run’s reality series Swap Shop for second season

Netflix has ordered a second season of reality series Swap Shop from New York-based factual producer Hit + Run.

Rob Shaftel

Set to debut on the service on February 16, the 6×30’ series follows a group of men and women who depend on a long-running Tennessee radio show to buy, sell and swap unique items over the airwaves.

Hit + Run, founded by former ITV Studios America exec Rob Shaftel in 2016, has also previously produced reality show Critter Fixers: Country Vets for NatGeo Wild. Swap Shop is executive produced for Hit + Run by Shaftel and Jerry Carita.

In addition to Critter Fixers: Country Vets, which is in its third season, the company recently premiered In My Own World on Vice and Pop Goes the Vet with Dr Joya on NatGeo Wild.

Shaftel, founder of and executive producer for Hit + Run, said: “The authenticity of these characters and the upbeat nature of the series has made an incredible impression on viewers.”
