Produced by Imagine Documentaries and RadicalMedia, the first season of the show launched on Netflix in February.

The four-episode first run, titled Crime Scene: The Vanishing Act at The Cecil Hotel, analysed how a seedy LA hotel’s tragic history contributed to the mystery around a young guest’s disappearance.

Season two, Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer, will launch on Netflix on December 29 and examines how the danger and depravity of New York’s Times Square in the late 1970s and early 1980s made it possible for one man to commit – and nearly get away with – unthinkable acts in a nearly lawless area rife with drugs and sex work.

Third and fourth seasons of Crime Scene have also been commissioned, each of which will tackle a new location with a dark past.

Imagine Documentaries and RadicalMedia will continue to produce the series, in association with Berlinger’s Third Eye Motion Picture Company.
