Netflix prepares for second Norwegian Troll

NEWS BRIEF: Netflix in the Nordics is ready to produce Troll 2 as a sequel to the Norwegian action-adventure film Troll which premiered globally on Netflix in 2022.

Troll 2 will begin filming in 2024 and reunites the creative team behind the first film – director Roar Uthaug, screenwriter Espen Aukan and producers Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud from producer Motion Blur. The first Troll film became one of the most popular non-English movies on Netflix ever. The Norwegian action-adventure film landed in the top 10 in 93 countries, including number one in Norway, the US and the UK, according to Netflix.
