Netflix has ordered two more series exploring the lives and crimes of other monstrous figures following the success of its scripted series about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, who produced Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, will produce the new instalments, though Netflix has not revealed which figures will be featured.

The 10-part Dahmer series, released worldwide on September 21, has already garnered more than 934 million hours of watch time, according to Netflix, making it the streaming giant’s second most popular English-language TV season ever. Netflix added that it is on track to reach one billion hours in the coming weeks.

The show follows the spree of murders committed by Wisconsin-born Dahmer, played by Evan Peters, between 1978 and 1991, and the institutional failures that allowed him to continue killing for more than a decade.

As well, Netflix has renewed its real-estate scripted thriller The Watcher, produced by Murphy, Brennan and Eric Newman, for a second season.

Starring Bobby Cannavale and Naomi Watts, the series follows a family plagued by ominous letters and sinister threats after they move into their dream home in the idyllic suburb of Westfield, New Jersey.
