Netflix orders three-part docuseries ahead of Jake Paul, Mike Tyson bout

Netflix has ordered a three-part docuseries to air in the lead up to its live coverage of the heavyweight boxing match between social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Countdown: Paul vs Tyson will premiere with two episodes on November 7 and the final episode on November 12, before Paul and Tyson enter the ring live on Netflix on November 15 from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The documentary series will take viewers behind-the-scenes of Paul and Tyson’s respective training camps to capture the grit, determination and physical demands needed to prepare for what is billed as an explosive, can’t miss professional boxing mega-event.

It will also follow the lead up to one of the most anticipated women’s fights in history, the rematch between undisputed super lightweight champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano.

Produced by EverWonder Studio, it is executive produced by Ian Orefice and Michael Antinoro and directed by Tim Mullen and Jackie Decker.

In related news, Netflix has begun streaming Warner Bros Animation and DC’s action adventure comedy series for preschoolers, Batwheels, in markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

It comes after Batwheels premiered in September 2022 on Warner Bros Discovery (WBD)-owned streamer Max (fka HBO Max) in the US before launching on WBD-owned Cartoon Network’s preschool block Cartoonito.
