Netflix orders Ragnarok S2

Netflix has renewed its Norwegian original teen fantasy series Ragnarok for a second season.

The series is set in the fictional Norwegian town of Edda, which finds itself at the epicentre of climate change due to the impact of the town’s industrial sector. The local factories are owned by a rich family of mythical giants who are confronted by a local teenage boy who is the embodiment of Norse god Thor.

Ragnarok was created by Adam Price and produced by Danish prodco SAM Productions. It is only the second Norwegian Netflix original series after romcom series Home For Christmas.

The first season of Ragnarok premiered at the end of January and the second is expected to air in early 2021.
