Netflix, NHK, Rai among nets to acquire Cyber Group’s Gigantosaurus, Droners

Preschool show Gigantosaurus

Netflix, Japan’s NHK and Italy’s Rai are among the latest streamers and broadcasters to acquire animated series Gigantosaurus and Droners from Paris-based Cyber Group Studios.

NHK has picked up season one (52×11’) of preschool show Gigantosaurus, as have Ukraine’s Plus Plus, RTBF in Belgium and Premier in Russia.

Netflix and Rai have acquired season two (52×11’) of Gigantosaurus, as have CCTV in China, Pop in the UK and SRC in Canada.

Season one (26×22’) of action-adventure anime series Droners, meanwhile, has been picked up by ABC in Australia, SIC in Portugal, Belgium’s RTBF and Switzerland’s RTS.

French broadcaster TF1, which commissioned Droners, has also picked up season two (26×22’) of the series, as have WDR in Germany and Disney in France and Benelux.

Elsewhere, Disney in Japan and Discovery in Latin America have pre-bought Cyber Group’s upcoming CGI 2D series 50/50 Heroes.

Commissioned by France Televisions and Disney in Germany and eastern Europe, the series is set in an original graphic universe and centres on half siblings who work together to make one-half of a superhero. It is currently in production.
