Netflix, Lightbox team up on feature doc

Lightbox’s Tell Me Who I Am

Global streaming giant Netflix has linked up with the producers of Man on Wire and Whitney for a feature doc about a twin who has to help his brother regain his memory after a motorcycle crash.

Tell Me Who I Am hails from Simon and Jonathan Chinn’s prodco, Lightbox, and tells the story of Alex and Marcus Lewis.

When Alex was 18 he woke up from a coma following a motorbike crash unable to remember his home, his parents or even his own name. He relied on his twin brother, Marcus, to give him his memory back, but the idyllic childhood he painted for Alex concealed a traumatic family seret.

Now, after decades of hiding the painful realities of their past, Alex and Marcus go on an extraordinary journey together to face the truth and finally discover who Alex really is.

In Tell Me Who I Am is directed Academy Award-nominated director Ed Perkins (Black Sheep, Garnet’s Gold). It is produced by co-Founder of Lightbox and two-time Oscar winner Simon Chinn (Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man) and premiered at the Telluride Film Festival this month.

It will premiere in the UK at the London Film Festival and launch on Netflix on October 18.
