Netflix gets real with roll-out of immersive fan experience ‘houses’ in the US

Netflix Houses brigs hit shows such as Squid Game and Stranger Things to life

Streaming giant Netflix has revealed it will open two immersive fan experience venues in the US later this year, with a third to follow in 2027.

The ventures, called Netflix Houses, aim to bring to life hit shows from the platform such as Squid Game, Wednesday and Stranger Things, alongside merchandise stores, games rooms and themed restaurants.

The first two Houses are located at Philadelphia’s King of Prussia Mall, where visitors can partake in immersive adventures based on Wednesday and swashbuckling manga adaptation One Piece; and Dallas’ Galleria Dallas, which features Squid Game challenges and a Stranger Things experience, in which visitors journey into the ruins of Hawkins to find three missing residents.

A third venue will follow in 2027 at BLVD Las Vegas, on the famous strip in the Nevada gambling mecca.

Netflix said each one of the Houses will span more than 100,000 square feet and be open year-round. The ventures build on the success of over 40 previous live fan experiences the streamer has staged around the world, such as Squid Game: The Experience in London, and The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience in locations including LA and Melbourne.

Marian Lee, chief marketing officer at Netflix, said: “Finally, a place where the Netflix story you can’t get enough of becomes something real that you can play, shop and taste.

“This is fandom coming to life, where you can step inside the worlds you’ve been watching and loving for years – whether going on an epic adventure with the Straw Hats, taking a journey into Hawkins, Indiana, or grabbing a cocktail inspired by your latest obsession.

“With fresh experiences dropping regularly, there’s always a new reason to come back.”
