Netflix expands sports anthology docuseries Untold with three new instalments

Untold: Shooting Guards examines a gun incident in the Washington Wizards locker room

Netflix will premiere three new instalments of its sports anthology docuseries Untold over the next six weeks.

The trio of documentaries will focus on NFL hall of famer Brett Favre, online fitness personality The Liver King and basketball players Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton.

Untold: The Fall of Favre, examines the legacy of Super Bowl-winning quarterback Favre, including an explicit text message scandal and his involvement in a welfare fraud scheme. The 60-minute doc, set to premiere on May 20, is produced by EverWonder Studio, Front Office Sports and Time Studios.

Untold: Shooting Guards, debuting on May 6, looks at an incident where former Washington Wizards teammates Arenas and Crittenton were involved in a gun incident in an NBA locker room in 2009. The 85-minute film is produced by Propagate and Stardust Frames Productions.

Untold: The Liver King follows the online fitness influencer who made his name for his physique and diet of raw meat but faced controversy when a steroid scandal came to light. The 65-minute film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on May 13 and is produced by Bitachon 365 and Candle True Stories.

Ben Silverman, Howard Owens, Chapman Way and Maclain Way serve as executive producers on all three of the projects, in addition to several other exec producers.
