Netflix, EBS, Canal+ acquire Oddbods and more for kids from One Animation

Animated preschool series Oddbods

Platforms and broadcasters in Europe and Asia including Netflix, EBS in Korea and Canal+ in Myanmar have acquired or renewed various kids’ series from Singaporean producer One Animation.

Netflix has picked up season three of Oddbods in a multi-territory deal, with the latest instalment replacing season two on the platform next month.

In Europe, France’s TFou Max has renewed season two of Oddbods, while train company Trenitalia in Italy, Vatican City, San Marino and France has acquired the on-board entertainment licence for Oddbods shortform content.

In Asia, Korean broadcaster EBS has picked up season three and all four seasonal specials of Oddbods, with Korea’s Daekyo also taking the first three seasons, the four seasonal specials and the shortform content. Vidio in Indonesia has acquired seasons two and three of the series.

Canal+ in Myanmar has renewed both the longform and shortform versions of Oddbods, in addition to seasons one and two of Rob the Robot.

Elsewhere in Asia, Brunei’s Radio Television has picked up Insectibles, which has also been renewed by Mola TV in Indonesia, while Singapore’s Mediacorp has acquired Antiks.
