Neo Studios partners with X League to document lives of women tackle footballers

Women’s American football league the X League

Sports-focused prodco Neo Studios has partnered with the Extreme Football League (X League) in the US to make an all-access documentary series following the women who play the sport.

The show will follow X League athletes on and off the gridiron as they attempt to balance their football careers with their personal lives, including working in full-time jobs, serving in the armed forces and raising children.

Aiming to introduce global audiences to the world of all-female, tackle football in the US, it will feature Sam Gordon, X League managing partner and the first female recipient of an NFL Honors Award.

The docuseries will film the inaugural season of X League, the first-ever commercial women’s football league, and provide access to the inner workings of the league, including the challenges the front office must overcome to prove its viability and potential.
