NENT streamer Viaplay has Seizure

Seizure centres on a the investigation into the deaths of four immigrant boys

Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) will release new Norwegian supernatural drama Seizure, from Fremantle-owned Miso Film, exclusively on its Viaplay streaming service.

Seizure follows the investigation by Oslo detectives Max (Anders Danielsen) and Sander (Anders Baasmo) after four young immigrant boys are found dead in an empty swimming pool. Bizarre twists in the case brings the detectives face to face with both their own demons and a dark sequence of increasingly inexplicable events.

Seizure (Besatt in Norwegian) is produced by Miso Film and created and written by Megan Gallagher. The eight-parter will launch on Viaplay across the Nordic region on October 31.

It follows on from the success of Wisting, another Norwegian original that went on to become NENT Group’s most successful original in the Nordic region. In February, NENT Group announced Commando, an ambitious Norwegian production directed by Per-Olav Sørensen.

“Seizure will grip audiences from the very start with its captivating blend of realism and the supernatural, brought to life by some of Norway’s hottest creative talents,” said Jakob Mejlhede Andersen, Viaplay’s chief content officer.
