NENT Group makes scandal for Viaplay

Honour was co-created by actor Sofia Helin

Nordic streamer Viaplay has ordered an eight-part crime thriller from Sweden about a scandal being hidden by the country’s top lawyers.

Honour (known locally as Heder) stars Alexandra Rapaport (Gåsmamman), Anja Lundqvist (Alex) and Julia Dufvenius (Modus), who created the show alongside The Bridge’s Sofia Helin.

Birgitta Wännström (Maria Wern) is producing for Swedish production company Bigster, while Eccho Rights handles international distribution.

The story follows four partners at a Swedish law firm who defend their clients while attempting to hide a dark secret. It joins fellow Swedish scripted series Love Me (Älska Mig) on the Nordic Entertainment Group-backed streamer, whose originals also include Four Hands Menu, Pros & Cons and Conspiracy of Silence.

Viaplay has already had success with originals such as Veni Vidi Vici, which premiered on Hulu in the US, and Swedish Dicks, which was sold to local cablenet Pop TV.
