NBCU’s Hayu gets real with VIMN

Hayu’s deal with VIMN covers MTV series such as Jersey Shore

NBCUniversal’s SVoD streamer Hayu has signed its first licensing agreement with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) for a range of reality series.

More than 400 hours of well-known MTV and VH1 titles such as The Hills, Jersey Shore, Laguna Beach and Love & Hip Hop: New York are being made available on the service, which launched in the UK, Ireland and Australia last year.

The licensing agreement with Hayu forms part of VIMN’s wider SVoD strategy to exploit its classic and iconic programming as it looks to expand its library of different genres available on SVoD platforms globally.

It follows on from four SVoD deals for Nickelodeon titles across the Middle East and North Africa (MBC and Etisalat), China (Mango TV) and the Baltics (Viaplay).
