NBCUniversal APAC restructure sees Chris Taylor take on MD role after Justin Che’s promotion

NBCUniversal (NBCU) in Asia Pacific has undergone an executive restructure, with Chris Taylor promoted to managing director of TV distribution and international networks and direct to consumer (D2C).

Chris Taylor

The role was held by Justin Che until January when he was promoted to president of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. He will be based in LA from April.

Taylor previously reported to Che as NBCU MD of international networks and TV distribution for Australia and New Zealand.

In his new position, Taylor will remain based in Sydney and continue overseeing content sales and distribution, networks and D2C in Australia and NZ. He is also executive chairman of Bravo TV New Zealand, a role he has held since 2016.

Under the new structure, Taylor will report to Carolyn Stalins, executive VP sales liaison international, global TV distribution, and Ken Bettsteller, president, international networks and D2C.

Before joining NBCU, Taylor was a senior executive at Telstra Media, CEO of Australia’s first streaming service Quickflix, CEO of Prime TV NZ and had a decade-long career at Nine Entertainment.
