NBC strikes Camp

US broadcaster NBC has cancelled its summer drama Camp after one season.

The 13×60’ series, which premiered in July, was created and exec produced by Liz Heldens (Friday Night Lights) and Peter Elkoff (Gossip Girl).

Produced by NBCUniversal-owned Matchbox Pictures and BermanBraun, it was ordered straight to series by NBC.

NBC originally described the series, which follows a divorcee who becomes a camp director in a bid to start a new life, as a cross between the Bill Murray film Meatballs and the 1990s comedy Dazed and Confused.
