NBC picks up two, renews 30 Rock

US network NBC has taken another two drama pilots to series for next season and has also renewed comedy 30 Rock for a final outing.

Of the new series commissions, Do No Harm is a Jekyll & Hyde-inspired drama from Universal Television, which stars Steven Pasquale as a neurosurgeon whose dangerous alter ego threatens to ruin his personal and professional life.

It was created by David Schulner, with the pilot directed by Michael Mayer. Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan exec produce.

The second, Infamous (fka Notorious), stars Meagan Good as a police detective who returns undercover to the wealthy family she grew up in to solve the murder of an heiress who was once her closest friend.

The show was created by Liz Heldens and is produced by Universal Television-based BermanBraun. It is exec produced by Gail Berman, Gene Stein and Lloyd Braun.

Meanwhile, comedies Parenthood and Community have both been renewed for fourth seasons, while 30 Rock will have a final 13-episode seventh season.

NBC has previously committed to season orders for new dramas Chicago Fire and Revolution, and comedies The New Normal, Guys With Kids, Animal Practice, 1600 Penn, Save Me and Go On. Other NBC dramas coming back in 2012/13 include Grimm, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Smash.
