NBC picks up Next Caller, axes Harry
UPFRONTS: US network NBC has ordered single-camera comedy Next Caller Please to series for 2012/13, renewed The Office and Parks & Recreation, and cancelled crime drama Harry’s Law.
NBC’s new dramas for 2012/13 include Do No Harm, Infamous (fka Notorious), Chicago Fire and Revolution, while the new comedies are Next Caller Please, The New Normal, Guys With Kids, Animal Practice, 1600 Penn, Save Me and Go On.
The channel has also renewed The Office, Parks & Recreation, Up All Night, Parenthood, Community, 30 Rock, Grimm, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Smash. The net has also axed Awake, Best Friends Forever, Bent and Are You There Chelsea?

1600 Penn
20th Century Fox TV. Auspices: Jason Winer (EP, D-pilot), Jon Lovett (EP, W-pilot), Josh Gad (EP, W-pilot). Cast: Bill Pullman, Jenna Elfman, Brittany Snow, Josh Gad. Logline: A single-camera comedy about a dysfunctional first family.
Animal Kingdom

Cast: Justin Kirk, Tyler Labine. Logline: An office comedy about a veterinarian who loves animals but usually hates their owners.
Guys With Kids (fka DILFS)

The New Normal
