NBC gives pilot orders to reboot of sci-fi series Quantum Leap, new thriller Found

Sci-fi series Quantum Leap

US broadcast network NBC has given a pilot order to a reboot of 1990s sci-fi series Quantum Leap, as well as to new thriller Found.

Produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, the revival of Quantum Leap is written and executive produced by La Brea co-showrunners Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt.

Also working on the show, which is set in present day and will see a new team investigate time travel, are executive producers Don Bellisario, Deborah Pratt and Martin Gero.

Quantum Leap originally aired on NBC for five seasons from 1989 to 1993 and was produced by Belisarius Productions and Universal Television.

Drama Found, which follows a public relations specialist investigating the disappearances of missing people, is produced by Berlanti Productions and Rock My Soul Productions in association with Warner Bros Television.

Executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Dawson’s Creek, Riverdale), along with David Madden and Lindsay Dunn, Found has been created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll, who also serves as executive producer.
