Natpe, NEM plot late-summer returns

Natpe International Budapest became online-only in 2020

Event organisers Natpe and NEM have announced late-summer returns for physical versions of their annual conferences in Eastern Europe.

Natpe International Budapest will return to the InterContinental Hotel in the Hungarian capital between August 30 and September 2.

The annual conference usually takes place in June. Last year it was pushed back to August before being switched to digital-only at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

JP Bommel, president and CEO of Natpe, said this year’s event will be a hybrid of physical and digital.

“On-site and in-person, we will be there in a limited and safe capacity, but through our virtual screenings and presentations, we will be able to connect everyone from wherever they attend,” he said.

Meanwhile, NEM Dubrovnik is also aiming to return to Croatia in a physical form from September 6 to September 9. Original plans to try to stage the event in June have also been put back as Covid-19 vaccination programmes continue to roll out across Europe.
