National Geographic, Hearst Networks EMEA shop for docs at Quintus

Missing Presumed Dead has been picked up by Nat Geo and Hearst Networks

National Geographic and Hearst Networks EMEA are among the broadcasters to have picked up documentaries from German-based channel owner and factual content specialist Quintus Studios.

Produced by Spirit Studios, 10×60’ series Missing Presumed Dead has been acquired by the Nat Geo for the US and Hearst for the UK. The series tells true stories of people who vanished, with first- and second-hand perspectives.

Meanwhile, the second season of Behind Bars – The World’s Toughest Prisons, produced by German factual producer Maximus Film, has been picked up by Viasat World for its Viasat Explore channel across Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltics and Scandinavia. Mediawan in France has taken season three, CH Media in Switzerland seasons three and four, and Discovery Latin America season five.

The franchise gives insight into the daily lives of both prisoners and guards in six of the world’s toughest prisons.
