Music quiz format The Hit List adapted in France for M6 Group-owned children’s channel Gulli

Élodie Gossuin and Issa Doumbia alongside virtual dancing yeti, Elvis

M6 Group-owned children’s channel Gulli in France is to premiere a local language version of hit UK music quiz show The Hit List today, having licensed the format from Israeli distributor Keshet International (KI).

The 80×30’ series, produced by Studio 89, is hosted by Élodie Gossuin and Issa Doumbia alongside Elvis, a virtual dancing yeti.

Contestants must correctly identify the titles and artists of well-known songs from excerpts played in the studio to win prizes.

Originally produced by UK indie Tuesday’s Child Television (Lego Masters) for pubcaster BBC One, the format has also been adapted in Spain, Finland and the Netherlands.

KI’s VP of sales Anne Roder Botbol negotiated the license agreement in France with M6.

Kelly Wright, MD, distribution, KI, said: “The Hit List is a fun and entertaining musical treat that gets everyone guessing, both in the studio and at home.

“It’s a proven, quick-turnaround, shiny-floor format that’s easily adaptable to any time slot, version, or budget. We are confident that M6’s Gulli prime viewers are going to love it!”
