ITV Studios-owned MultiStory Media has promoted Mike Blair to creative director and Vicky Flind to the new position of head of current affairs as it doubles down on factual and factual entertainment.
In his new role, Blair’s remit will focus exclusively on expanding the UK company’s documentary and factual output.
The label’s recent documentary credits include ITV’s Brianna: A Mother’s Story, Georgia Harrison: Porn, Power & Profit, Waco: A British Tragedy and The Murder of Logan Mwangi.
Blair was previously head of documentaries and current affairs, having joined MultiStory Media in 2019, when it was known as Shiver, from ITV, where he was editor of current affairs.
Simone Haywood will continue in her role as creative director, focusing on factual entertainment and formats with an expanded slate of returning shows.
This now includes Come Dine With Me, Come Dine with Me: Professionals, For the Love of Dogs, Pride of Britain and Kate Garraway’s Life Stories. She will also be responsible for developing a raft of new formats.
To grow MultiStory’s current affairs slate, Flind, creator and executive producer of Peston on Sunday (now Peston) has been promoted to the newly created position of head of current affairs.
Reporting to Blair, Flind will oversee the Martin Lewis Money Show and Tonight as well as Peston, with a remit to add further current affairs titles to the slate.
MultiStory, which produces from its London, Cardiff and Manchester offices, is known for shows including the iconic 7 Up series and Revenge Porn: Georgia versus Bear.
Tim Carter, CEO of MultiStory Media, said: “We’ve doubled down where we’ve been most successful over the past few years on the two broad genres of factual and factual entertainment.
“The new structure with Mike and Simone heading up the two sides of our business provides clarity and simplicity, allowing MultiStory to do what it does best.”
