MTVNI wraps up EMEA, Lat Am sales

MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has made a number of programme sales across EMEA and Latin America, including a deal bringing The Daily Show With Jon Stewart to Iceland.

Iceland’s 365 Media has taken the global edition of The Daily Show, while Canal Plus Horizons has made one-year extensions to its licence for the programme and another version for French-speaking Africa. In Switzerland, SF has signed for MTV Unplugged, while Ireland’s TG4 has gone for reality shows My Super Sweet 16 and The Hills.

DR Ramasjang in Denmark has snapped up American Mall and Rocko’s Modern Life, while Georgia Teleimedi has gone for The Troop, Double Dare and El Tigre, as well as SpongeBob SquarePants and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

In Latin America, Sky Mexico has signed on for seasons one to four of Mind of Mencia, season three of Trigger Happy TV and Dave Attell. Panama’s TVN has picked up Jackass, while Ecuavisa in Ecuador has renewed animated children’s series Rugrats.
