MTV International to make UK version of matchmaking format Are You the One?

MTV International is expanding its dating franchise Are You the One? with a UK version that will also stream on Paramount+.

Are You The One? UK is set to premiere later this summer on MTV channels outside of the US and on Paramount+ in the UK. The series is the first UK version of the matchmaking series, which made its debut in the US in 2014.

The UK show will be hosted by broadcaster and presenter Joelah Noble and follow 20 unlucky-in-love singletons whose scientific ‘perfect match’ is somewhere in the same house as them – all they have to do is find them.

If the group can uncover all 10 matches by the end of the series, they are rewarded with not only love but a cash prize.

Are You the One? UK has been commissioned for MTV International by Kelly Bradshaw, senior VP at Paramount-owned MTV Entertainment Brands International, and Craig Orr. The series is produced for MTV by All3Media-owned Lime Pictures with Amy Boyle and Orr as executive producers.

The format has previously been remade in Brazil, Mexico, Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands.
